Nurture Yourself with Personal Power and the Elements of Nature

Nurture Yourself with Personal Power and the Elements of Nature

How do you utilize your power in your everyday life? Are there days when you feel powerless rather than powerful? Can you detect the subtle nuances in your energetic body and trace where the shifts may have occurred? What was the spark for you to increase your power? On the same token, what was the reason for dousing your flame? How can you find balance and hold your power steady?

Our day-to-day lives are saturated with so many experiences that pull us this way and that. Not always having the time or the energy to process all the information that consumes us in a day, let alone a lifetime, for many of us. Suppose we begin to realize, though, that we have the power and the tools accessible to us to work with the elements and the forces of this big, beautiful universe we dwell within. We are capable to gain the access we need to assist us through the implementation and use of elements and other life forces that dwell in and around us. Through intention, practice and faith we can take our lives to the next level.

The Earth is our playing field, though the landscape is very different for many of us; cities have infiltrated nature, rather than blending with it. Living in cities where the air is full of noise pollution, the skies are filled with light and air pollution, the imbalance between structures and foliage is compromised. Can you relate to that experience, being a human being dwelling within your surroundings? Or do you have the capability to tune it all out, disconnecting from the Earth, the living forces and beings that once dwelled on the land? Can you find a balance?

When we see that we are the effect of our surroundings, and how you choose to dwell will affect your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies, how you chose to utilize power in your life can assist you whether you have made the choice to live in a skyscraper above New York City or by dwelling in the desert with the wilds of nature.

The Earth and the Universe are composed of many elements. We have: fire, air, ether, wood, metal, water, rock, earth, light from both the sun and the stars. These are natural elements we can utilize to support us in our daily lives through intention and invocation.

Work with the Elements of Earth in your Universe, where you are the center of the World!
Work with the Elements of Earth in your Universe, where you are the center of the World!

By introducing the element of water, for example, you can draw on the symbolism that comes to mind when we think of water sources. By envisioning a stream, we can perceive ourselves as being the movement of the water that is supported by the banks of the earth on either side, so that we can move smoothly and freely without impediments. The rocks in the stream could represent the issues we may be experiencing in the present moment, as we witness ourselves as the water overcoming what may appear to be an obstacle —in this case, the rock. With water, even the most enormous boulder cannot stop its momentum, revealing our true nature and power. Through this visualization, we may comprehend that we can adapt, modify, and overcome through the element of water, thereby overcoming the obstacles in our daily lives.

Fire is another element that we can increase or decrease based on our needs at the moment. If we seek power and energy, we can improve our visualization of fire in our bellies to help us manifest our life goals. Whether we use fire to speak our truths —where we would have snuffed out our communication with others —we can stoke our fire so that we have the ability and confidence to speak up and share our thoughts and feelings, thereby overcoming our insecurities and fears. We can also invoke fire to burn away pain bodies, strongholds and limiting beliefs that no longer serve us, by burning them out of our energy field, letting those stuck energies move like embers in the air, so that we can transmute that energy into a clean burning flame or light that allows us to bring in a new belief, power, or healing.

Can you have too much of an element in your space? Absolutely. Let’s take, for example, a heart wall. When constructed of metal and wood in an unhealthy manner, creating a sort of energetic shield around the front and back of the heart, an individual may find it difficult to have healthy relationships. Their muscles could be holding tension, and their communication style is often guarded and dismissive of others. Not only does this become a limitation for the individual who has the wall, stopping the flow of love, nurturing of the self, and permissions, but others can feel and sense this pulling back, protecting, or guarded energy as if they hit an invisible structure that gives them a little whack to stay back.

One needs to first recognize what they hold in their space before they can shed it, heal it, and process it.

When an individual recognizes an excess—in this case, a heart wall—the ability to bring it into consciousness is the key to unlocking the door and breaking down the walls that keep them psychologically distant from themselves and others. Through intention and visualization, one can sit quietly and envision that wall being disassembled, torn down, and recycled by the Earth. When we stay aware that our thoughts about an action, even in our imagination, have the power to change and alter our life’s experiences, we can transform much more readily and instantly. Change your thoughts, and yes, you can alter your life experience.

Where can you visualize the utilization of the natural elements in your life experiences?

Can you locate any blockages, strongholds, or fixed beliefs in your space? If so, how do they feel, and how do they show up for you? Are they assisting you in any manner, or have they created a limitation in your life?

Questions like these can help you explore yourself. Visualize your body as a map and seek new aspects of knowing yourself so that you, too, can evolve, thrive, and enjoy.
