Why Energy Work and Healing Is So Important
Remembering Who We Are Beyond the Physical
Most of us spend our lives focused on the physical world around us. We wake up, go to work, manage relationships, pay bills, take care of our bodies, and navigate the many responsibilities that come with being human. We become so immersed in this three-dimensional reality that we often forget there is much more to who we are.
But what if this physical existence is only one small part of our experience?
What if the reality we see, touch, and interact with is much like a hologram, a physical expression of something far more expansive?
From a spiritual perspective, we are not simply human beings who occasionally have spiritual experiences. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.
And that distinction changes everything.

Before We Were Human, We Were Energy
Consider the possibility that before you entered this physical body, you existed as consciousness, as energy, as a spiritual being without the limitations of physical form.
At our origination point, we were not defined by our names, our careers, our relationships, our appearance, or even our personal histories. We existed beyond the identities we have come to associate with ourselves.
From this perspective, we chose to incarnate into the physical world to experience life through a human body.
Yet somewhere along the way, we became so identified with being human that we forgot the spiritual being dwelling within.
We began defining ourselves by our circumstances, our successes and failures, our emotional wounds, and the expectations placed upon us by others.
We forgot that these experiences are things we encounter, not necessarily who we are.
The Physical World Is Only Part of Our Reality
When I refer to our three-dimensional reality as a hologram, I am speaking from a spiritual perspective. I am inviting you to consider that what we perceive through our physical senses may be only one layer of a much larger existence.
We are accustomed to believing that what we can see, touch, measure, and explain is all there is.
But consider the many things we experience that cannot be physically held in our hands: love, intuition, emotional connections, and the sense that something is right or wrong before we can logically explain why.
Our inner experiences are real to us, even when we cannot see them.
In my work, I explore the energetic aspects of our existence through the chakra system, auric field, and the many layers of consciousness that I believe extend beyond the physical body.
These are aspects of ourselves that often receive very little attention because we have been conditioned to focus primarily on the human experience.
And when we focus exclusively on the physical, we may overlook an important part of our own beingness.
What Happens When We Forget Our Spiritual Nature?
We can spend years trying to improve our lives by changing only our external circumstances.
We change jobs, relationships, homes, appearances, and routines, hoping that something outside ourselves will finally bring us peace, fulfillment, or a sense of belonging.
Sometimes these changes are necessary and beneficial. But they do not always address what is happening within us.
We may continue carrying emotional wounds, limiting beliefs, unresolved experiences, and patterns of behavior that influence how we move through life.
From an energetic perspective, these experiences can also be explored through our subtle energy system.
When we neglect our spiritual nature, we may lose touch with our intuition, our sense of inner knowing, and our ability to recognize ourselves beyond the roles we play.
We become consumed with doing rather than being.
We spend so much time trying to manage our human lives that we forget to nurture the spiritual being experiencing them.
Why Energy Work and Healing Matter
For me, energy work and healing are about bringing these different aspects of ourselves into greater awareness and alignment.
It is not about rejecting our humanity or pretending that our physical experiences do not matter. Quite the opposite.
It is about integrating our spiritual beingness into our everyday human experience.
Our physical body deserves care. Our emotional experiences deserve acknowledgment. Our minds deserve understanding. And our spiritual nature deserves the same attention.
Through energy work, meditation, self-reflection, and developing our awareness, we can begin exploring the relationship between our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and energetic experiences.
We can learn to recognize patterns that no longer serve us, become more aware of our personal boundaries, and develop a deeper connection with our own intuition.
Rather than constantly searching outside ourselves for answers, we can begin discovering what already exists within us.
Energy work is not a replacement for medical or mental health care. It is another avenue for personal and spiritual exploration, one that invites us to consider ourselves more holistically.
Integrating the Spirit and the Human
One of the most important things I share with my clients and students is that we are not here to escape being human.
We are here to experience it.
We have relationships, responsibilities, emotions, physical bodies, and everyday challenges. These are all part of our incarnation.
But what if we could navigate these experiences while remaining connected to our spiritual nature?
What if we could approach difficult situations with greater neutrality rather than becoming completely consumed by them?
What if we could recognize that our experiences do not have to define our entire existence?
And what if we could begin making choices from a place of greater awareness rather than simply reacting to what is happening around us?
This is where integrating the spiritual and physical becomes so meaningful.
We are not choosing one over the other. We are learning to exist consciously as both.
Remembering Who You Are
You do not need to understand chakras, energy fields, or spiritual concepts to begin exploring this part of yourself.
You can start by becoming curious.
Take a few moments each day to quiet your mind. Notice your thoughts without immediately identifying with them. Pay attention to your intuition. Become aware of how you feel in different environments and relationships.
Ask yourself:
Who am I beyond my name, my physical body, my responsibilities, and the experiences that have shaped my life?
Allow yourself to explore that question without needing an immediate answer.
I believe that much of our spiritual growth is not necessarily about becoming something new. It is about remembering aspects of ourselves that have been overlooked or forgotten.
The spiritual being has not disappeared simply because we have become immersed in the human experience.
It is still part of who we are.
Bringing It All Together
Energy work and healing are important because they invite us to look beyond the surface of our lives.
They encourage us to recognize that we are more than our physical bodies, our thoughts, our emotions, and our circumstances.
We are multidimensional beings experiencing a physical existence.
And while our human lives deserve our attention, so does the spiritual consciousness dwelling within.
When we begin integrating these aspects of ourselves, we create opportunities for greater awareness, personal growth, and a more conscious relationship with life.
Perhaps the greatest healing begins when we stop seeing ourselves as only human and begin remembering the spiritual being we have always been.
